    Rocksprings Independent School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Dual Contract Teacher/Coach with the primary coaching assignment in Girls Volleyball.

    The ideal candidate will provide high-quality classroom instruction while also leading and developing the district’s girls volleyball program. This role requires a commitment to student achievement, athletic excellence, teamwork, and positive character development. Responsibilities include instructional planning, classroom management, athletic program organization, and collaboration with staff, students, and families.

    Texas teaching certification is required. Teaching assignment and grade level will be determined based on district needs and candidate certification.

    What to Expect in This Role

    Teaching Responsibilities

    • Provide effective instruction in the assigned subject and grade level

    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with TEKS standards

    • Use student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction

    • Maintain a structured, supportive, and positive classroom environment

    • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and campus staff to support student success

    Coaching Responsibilities (Girls Volleyball)

    • Serve as head coach or primary coach for the Girls Volleyball program

    • Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions

    • Promote athletic skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership

    • Support student-athletes academically and behaviorally

    • Maintain compliance with UIL and district athletic policies

    • Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and administration

    • Assist with overall athletic program needs as assigned


    Education/Certification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

    • Valid Texas teaching certificate (content area based on assignment)

    • Coaching experience and UIL knowledge preferred

    • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students succeed and is ready to play a hands-on role to engage and assist our learners on their educational journey.

    What to Expect in this Role:

    • Work directly with students to reinforce learning and build confidence.

    • Help students stay engaged, focused, and on track throughout the school day.
