RISD Parents,
As we resume classes tomorrow, student safety is our priority. The designated drop off/ pick up area for students is behind the elementary building on Austin Street.  We have teachers on duty to promote the safety of our students.  On those days where your child has to be dropped off in the front of the school, we ask that you park in front of the school & let your child walk into school from the parking lot & through the large open gate next to the library.  For elementary students, park in front of the elementary building and escort your child to front door of the elementary building.   Again, this only for those isolated instances when students cannot use the designated drop off/ pick up area. 

Please avoid stopping on the highway or off the highway to drop off your child.  This is strictly for the safety of our students.  Of course, high school students who have a permit to park across the school are asked to continue being alert and use the cross walks.  
An Edwards Sheriff patrol is on duty on a regular basis before and after school.   Thank you for your assistance with this.  Please reach out if you have any questions.
