Please review the following notice for the Texas Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic opportunity:
Texas Mission of Mercy is offering a FREE dental clinic opportunity for our community members. We have been granted 50 spots at their San Antonio clinic on Saturday, May 30 and 50 spots at the San Angelo clinic on Saturday, July 18.
There is absolutely no cost for services provided at the clinic. No insurance information is needed, and no copay is required.
Transportation will be provided by RISD. Participants are required to travel to clinic on provided transportation. Participants will meet at the library at 4:00AM the morning of both clinics to load the bus and travel to the clinic site. All meals will be provided while attending the dental clinic.
Because participants will likely be at the clinic for most of the day, we strongly encourage everyone, especially children, to bring a small entertainment bag (books, tablets, headphones, coloring activities, or other quiet entertainment items) for the wait times in the schedule.
Please note the following important guidelines:
*No pediatric dentistry takes place at this clinic.
*Children must be 8 years old or older to be signed up for a clinic voucher.
*Only individuals who have received vouchers for the clinic will be allowed to ride RISD transportation.
*Please make arrangements in advance for younger children or family members who are not attending the clinic.
If you sign up for a clinic voucher, please immediately arrange time off with your employer if needed.
*Being scheduled to work is not considered an acceptable reason for last minute cancellation or failure to attend.
*Last minute drops waste valuable spots that could have been used by other members of our community in need of dental care.
We are very thankful for this opportunity and ask everyone who signs up to commit fully so that our community can continue to benefit from programs like Texas Mission of Mercy in the future.
We have already had two sign-up meetings, and there are more planned over the next two weeks. See the flyer for more details. We have spots left for both dates. Don’t hesitate to stop by the library for questions or clarification!
